Softex Omnipass 6.x IE 8 Support

Unfortunately Softex Incorporated is a typical Company not interessted in end user customer support. Rather then bringing free updates they sell a new version everytime something changes. Same thing with IE8, they dont even have an updated version that works with IE8. Not even the newest Omnipass Version 6.5.

In order to enable support for Internet Explorer after installing Omnipass 6, you need to open the registry by going to start -> run and typing regedit. Then scroll down to hkey local machine/software/softex/omnipass and click on Omnipass and change the entry EnumAllClass from 0 to 1 then close the registry and restart Omnipass by right clicking on the yellow Omnipass key and selecting Exit. Also restart the Softex Omnipass Service by going to start -> run ->and typing services.msc. Look for Omnipass Service and rightclick on it and “Restart”. Then go to start -> programs -> softex and start Omnipass again. Sites that you had stored with Firefox or IE7 may or may not work with IE8 and you may have to re remember them.

Hope this helps and if anyone knows good alternatives to Omnipass let me know. I realy dont appreciate the way Softex Incorporated does Business.
